On behalf of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, Vice Chairman Le O Pich specifically explained the contents that the Appraisal Council was noted such as the merger of administrative units; urban classification; protective forest land. The Provincial units and consulting unit will continue to research and clarify based on the comments. Bac Giang province will actively coordinate with consultants to complete the project.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van highly appreciated Bac Giang province initiatives in planning. The quality of Bac Giang Urban General Planning Project is good, clearly showing the contents of green, smart urban areas and urban development orientation.

To continue the completion of the project, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van proposed that Bac Giang province should highlight the contents of expanded development spaces for existing urban areas; review relevant political and legal bases; emphasize the relationship between Bac Giang city and satellite cities, especially Hanoi.

The province should review and evaluate the current situation from three perspectives of planning, project and land; review the legality of project; forecast the appropriate population; review the mechanical population growth; note on standards for civil land criteria; include a legal basis for forest land conversion; evaluate and review urban development targets and requirements; clearly identify inner and outer urban areas...

At the same time, the province should propose spatial and architectural design plans with regional characteristics; clarify the development orientation for each subdivision and characteristics of rural residential areas; eevelope a transportation system connecting to the existing area with the expanded areas, connecting Bac Giang and surrounding urban areas; develop a railway traffic; pay attention to underground space planning...

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van requested the People's Committee of Bac Giang province to direct the consulting unit to fully review the comments of the Council members, and soon complete the project documents to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
